Half Term Cake Baking

If you’ve forgotten to organise something to do (how COULD you?!) one morning or afternoon during half term there is always the salvation of cake baking. I use the fail safe weigh your eggs and then use the same weight of butter, sugar and flour recipe in our much thumbed River Cottage Family Cookbook and then just adapt with lemon or cocoa powder etc. Here are our half term bakes. Can you tell which one the kids decorated?
